BEES!!!

Postby PosiToddvibes on Wed Jun 25, 2008 10:03 am

There have been several sightings of yellow jackets and hornest nests around the course and several people have been attacked!

If you do happen to find some of these pesky creatures, please let us all know and post their location here? We will then hopefully be able to tract them down and kill them. Thanks!

Here's what I know.........

Hole 15, bottom of the hill next to a log along one of the lower trails!!

Hole 18, bottom of the hill to the left in the rough, and need the mulch pile!!!

BEEware!!!

The bees are busy bunkering down on our fairways. Yesterday, the Sealy family was out an about on Hole 15 and got attacked. The bees also conficated their umbrella, so we should be able to find them this next time.

Also, the Innova guys reported a nest on Hole 14, next to the 1st. shot landing area, right of the big tree in the dead vine pile!!!!

Hopefully today the park staff will bee able to hunt them down and make a stew out of them all.

Please report other bee activity as you beecome aware of it! Thanks!

While mowing the right side of the fairway on hole 8 today, I found more bees!! I hit them once with a dose of chemicals, but they are definitely not ready to die. So beware until then!

Heard of a sighting on the bottom of Hole 18 as well.

Don't forget the vines on the right side of Hole 14!

I've seen bees to the right of the triple mando on hole 10 (stuck in a small hole)

I've seen bees beyond the 2nd. rhodo bunker on Hole 11 (stuck in a small hole)

I've seen bees at the bottom of 18 to the right side about 30 ft. into the woods (stuck in a small hole)

Will Run!

They almost got me again this evening and this time they were swarming directly under the bench! :(
Some park staff were set up to deal with them but do bee careful and tell the staff about any other nests found.

There is a hornet nest in the small set of rhodos to the left of the stairs heading down to the practice basket from the parking lot. Watch out, I got stung Thursday before doubles.

Thanks for the reminder!

I got stung yesterday working on our farm, and for the second time this year had to go to the hospital! It was scarey! I broke out in hives and had to stick myself with an eppy pin. My throwing hand looks like a softball right now. Luckily I am still alive.

Die yellow jackets, DIE!

Lookout on hole 8 for yellow jackets!

A ground nest was spotted today in between the two tee-pads and was very active. It is clear to play from both tees and up the fairway but approach the Am pad from the back of it not from the side. Park staff were waiting till dark to try and get them so bee cautious and keep a eye out for any others.

Hole 18 had big hornets nests in the rough in the field that we destroyed. Bee on the lookout!

Black hornets on hole 18 past the steps on the left side of the fairway. It's a in- ground nest that has been sprayed but still might be active so watch out! They are nasty little bitches that got me good yesterday and now I can barely walk. I can still throw fine though.
