I know there is a lot we can do to make this website even better, and we plan to work on that as the colder weather and shorter days force us to spend more time inside.

Please, if you have any suggestions on ways to improve the site, don't be shy and let's here them?

Now and in the future, we hope that this site will provide all the information one needs regarding disc golf in the HIGH COUNTRY.

The homepage needs to be updated again. Still wish we could include the bigger picture with the other two private courses under "Courses". Also, under "Join the Club" needs to be explained how to and benefits for 09'. Under "Contact", how about we put our club member list with everyone's info on it. As we are all representatives of the club.

Worked on "join the club" and added members list to that link b/c it has to do with members and memberships. I think that the "contact" page should be info for just the few members who want to help sign people up. It will do know good to post too many contact #'s that people will call one person and will be told to call this other member who knows whats up and should have been called in the first place. My name is there by default. Let me know who wants to be added to the list...?

We also put up some other new features to the main page.

I"m not sure if I'm a fan of posting everyone's email and phone numbers on the webpage like that. Personally I don't care too much, but some people have issues with it. It's an easy way for spammers to grab some free phone numbers and email addresses to send us crap. Lots of people are very sensitive about that info being public (and the main page is more public than the message board, IMO).

I don't mind my name being on there. I know I'm not able to make it out to a lot of doubles events due to work, but I am going to try to make it to the singles events one Saturday out of the month. I'm also going to make a High Country Disc Golf page on Facebook if there isn't one already, if no one has any objections to that.

I talked with Daniel today about updating the website to make it more High Country friendly, so we're going to work on it. If you have any ideas for the site, please let us know?

I think the the website is well laid out and accurately reflects the priorities and perceptions of the HCDGC.
The only thing I might change would be to substitute Ashe Park for community in the mission statement.

Here are some of my ideas.......

1. Change Ashe Co. Park, Jefferson, NC. to serving Ashe, Avery, and Watauga Counties
We need to try to eliminate the website being baised and only Ashe Park. There is a bigger picture.
2. Under Disc Course, change to Disc Courses, and have links to Ashe, Avery, and Watauga Counties or Courses (with permission from course owners), or we could just put None Available at this time, or a classified ad asking for land to build on in this area. Then you could take away the Directions page and have the directions to each course attached to the course link itself.
3. Update Sponsors Page, Get rid of old sponsors and info and copy and paste or re-word what I have written in the forum. Make sure it says that we are Looking for Ashe Park Sponsors.
4. Add to the top of Annoucements that we are currently looking for NEW Ashe Park hole sponsors, maybe put a link to the forum as well.
5. Under contacts, put our current voted board members info. (with permission). Ashe Co. Parks and Rec. Dept. #'s as well. And maybe even Sugaree's and Long Ridge's #'s (again, with permission).
6. Have special threads for Sugaree and Long Ridge on the forum. In the near future the forum will have to be broken down into either the three counties or courses. At the moment everythings Ashe Park.
7. New pictures and music would be cool too.

Just my opinion, it would be nice to get some other feedback?
