Great News! Permission has been granted for the Wilkes Co Disc Golf Club to put in their first public course!! It will be at Highland Park.

I think we should sponsor a hole down there. When we were first looking for sponsors out at Ashe Park, several local clubs donated to us. I talked with Harry and he said we have around $600 in our so called "club funds". Heck, might as well spend it on something that everyone can use! It would be a very nice gesture and a great way to show our support. What do you guys think?

I agree 100%. As far as I know we don't have any other plans for that money. It's just sitting there.
I'm headed down to play with them this morn for the third time in the past couple months. Those are a great group of guys, and them and Lance are doing an incredible job. Three of them were actually up Thur playing, and I played a round with them. They couldn't stay for doubles due to already playing two rounds. You know how grueling that can be. And, as some of you may know I have invited them to play up here any time with their scheduled events until they get their course finished. ,... Chasing a rabbit, sorry. YES, let's sponsor Wilkes County Disc Golf.

John, Michael, and I went down the other day to volunteer and help clear some brush at the new course. It's a beautiful park and the course is going to be fantastic! Big Thanks to Lance and Tracy for putting us to work and showing us around. There still is a lot of work to be done, so if you have the time I encourage to get down there and pay your dues. Contact Lance if you would like to help in any way.

Scott Kastle will be presenting the HCDGC money ($500) to the WCDGC to help support disc golf in Wilkes Co. this Sat. at the Disco. Glad to see our money going to a great cause!
